MECHANICAL/PLUMBING DESIGNER
Designer works with engineering staff to produce drawings from sketches, existing drawings and electronic images. Design parts based on written and verbal descriptions from senior designers and engineering staff. Must be able to read construction blueprints, interpret and use standard documentation. Must be able to self-check work for accuracy and completeness. Must be a self-starter.

Successful candidate will have a minimum five years experience designing and drafting mechanical and plumbing systems for commercial and residential low-rise and high-rise buildings. Position requires field coordination and proficiency with AutoCAD. Prior experience with MEP consulting desired.

Must have the following:
Excellent communication skills
Experience with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook
Ability to CAD from redlines
Ability to adhere to schedules

Experience/Qualification:
High school graduate or equivalent. Vocational training in design plus CAD experience and five years design experience.
